Jane Emily Goins

Jane Emily Goins, 96, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away July 30, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Jane enjoyed watching Lady Vols, bowling, good conversation and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Goins, Jr.; granddaughter, Jana Ellyne Burns; parents Jesse Clyde Blackburn & Stella Blackburn; six brothers, JC Blackburn, JR Blackburn, Johnny Blackburn, Jay Edwin Blackburn, Jack Homer Blackburn, Jerry W. Blackburn; son-in-law, Raymond Burns.

Survived y her daughter, Brenda Burns; grandchildren, Lara Burns Harwood (Donny), Andy Burns, Emily Burns Lemley (LJ); great-grandchildren, Hannah Harwood, Austin Harwood, Lauren Harwood, Kalle Jones; brother, JG “Pinky” Blackburn; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Caris Hospice and several personal caregivers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home, with the service to follow in the chapel at 3:00 PM, Pastor Ramon Torres, officiating.
