Dale Rymer

James Dale Rymer, 90, passed away on June 27, 2025. Dale was born on October 15, 1934 on a farm in Cleveland, Tennessee. A lifetime farmer, Dale was well respected in his community as a friend and hard worker. As a young man, he was in Future Farmers of America at Bradley Central High School. He served in various leadership positions in agriculture and loved the opportunity to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Dale was a lifetime member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and enjoyed being a deacon for many years. He was a devoted husband who loved building a happy home for all to feel welcome in.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marjorie Rymer; his wife of 66 years, Bernice Rymer; his grandson, Joseph Rymer; brothers RL Rymer, Calvin Rymer, and Percy Rymer, and sisters Mary Cordell and Hilda Williams.

Dale and Bernice welcomed five wonderful children and their spouses, in order of birth: James Rymer (Karen); Paul Rymer (Susan); Mike Rymer (Michelle); Carol Vaughn; and Sam Rymer (Cheryl). Dale was affectionately known as "Papaw" to 14 grandchildren, including Brian, Jason, Heather, Jeremy, Cherie, Adrian, Dylan, Savannah, Analise, Josh, Tyler, Britt, Victoria, and Joseph. He was also great-grandfather to 17. Dale is also survived by his brother Billy Rymer (Carolyn), sister Stella Foster, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale's family will receive friends from 2pm until 5pm on Wednesday July 2nd at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will be held at 5pm following visitation with Pastor Steve Huff officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Brian Rymer, Dylan Rymer, Jeremy Rymer, Josh Keller, Brandon Miller, Rex Cross, and Nathaniel Rymer as an alternate.
