James David Poteet

James Poteet, 68, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1958, to the late David Madison Poteet and Esther Louise Poteet.

James leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed, and the memories they shared will remain close to their hearts.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Breanna Poteet.

James leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, David Adam Poteet and Joshua Samuel Poteet; sister, Connie Gray; brothers, Scott Poteet and Chris Poteet; grandchildren, Destiny Poteet, Blake Poteet, Logan Poteet, Autumn Payne, Bryant Poteet, and Mikayla Poteet; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
