James Mowery

James Arthur Mowery Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. Born on October 2, 1944, James was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Mowery; his parents, Pauline and TJ Mowery; his brother, Clyde Mowery; and sister, Lois Picklesimer.

James is survived by his children: James A. (Gwen) Mowery Jr., Joyce (Tim) Goins, Beverly Gibson, and Lois Mowery; his grandchildren: James Arthur Aaron Mowery, Christina Marie Mowery, Joseph Alexander Mowery, Summer, Ronnie Ray Gibson, Jacob Lee Gibson, Matthew Blake Gibson, and Summer Marie; and his great-grandchildren: James Mowery, Pearl Mowery, Dustin Wade, Emma G., Anna G., and Jacob G. Jr. He also leaves behind his siblings: Joyce Allmon, Kate Balog, and Grady Mowery, as well as his life-long friend, David Brown.

After serving his country in Vietnam, James returned home and dedicated 56 years of hard work to Flower's Baking Company. He was known for his fun-loving spirit, deep dedication to his family, and wide circle of friends. James enjoyed weekend rides and cherished trips to Florida to visit family.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
