James Monroe Hobbs III, age 60, passed away April 4, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1965 to the late Susan Weekly Hobbs and Don Hobbs.

He is survived by his loving wife, Allison Lain Hobbs; son, John Michael Hobbs; step-children whom he loved dearly, Joseph Lain and Rayne Hobbs; second mom, Eva Hughes; father and step-mother, Don and Barbara Hobbs; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tamira and Robert Booth and Stephanie and Jeff Vetter.

James had a passion for life, good food, and all types of music. He loved his family and valued his friends. James was full of questions, and an endless font of knowledge. He was quick with a laugh and a joke. If you were blessed to know James, our very treasured loved one, then you truly knew an amazing individual that none other will rival.

Air plants and Monetary donations can be made to the Hobbs family in care of Companion Funeral Home at any branch location in James's honor.

A memorial for James will be held at Melton Lake at the Oak Ridge City Park Marina Pavillion on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 6 P.M.
