James Edward Dunn

James Edward Dunn, age 87 of Cleveland, departed this life on Monday, April 25, 2022 at his home. Born on August 13, 1934 in High Point, Georgia, to the late Ernest O. and Mattie June Dunn, he wa retired from Plumbers and Steamfittters Local 43 after many years and was a Mason for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, skeet shooting, camping and bow and gun competitions.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Bertha Dunn; son, Richard Lebron Owensl and sister, Barbara Eslinger.
Left behind to cherish many memories are his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Jean Dunn; sons. Gary Edward Dunn and Bruce"Butch" Duane Owens; stepsister, Barbara Jones. God blessed James witth 9 grandchildren,; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren (Soon to be 4) as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A Celebration of James' life will be held at 2 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Thursday.
