James Arthur Cole

James Arthur Cole, affectionately known as "Bam", passed away unexpectantly on September 4th, 2026. He was born October 3rd, 1965 to the late Arthur Lee and Erma Jean Cole in Wildwood, Georgia. He graduated from Northwest Georgia High School and upon graduation entered the workforce as a machinist for various companies throughout Chattanooga, Tennessee. Among his favorite hobbies, James enjoyed washing his cars, watching NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs play football, and enjoying a good bowl of banana pudding!

He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved nothing more than aggravating the people he loved. If he was picking on you, or giving you a tough time, you knew you were certainly loved by him. That was his love language his own unique way of showing affection and letting you know he cared.

Those who knew him will remember his humor, his playful spirit, his willingness to help. His teasing, his laughter, and his way of making people smile are memories that will be cherished forever. He was one of a kind, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Erma Jean Cole.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include his brother Scottie (Mitzi) Cole of Chattanooga, Tennessee, sisters Jennifer Ryles (Chattanooga, TN), Michele Cole (Atlanta, GA), Debbie Cole ( Rossville, GA), Vanessa White (Atlanta, GA), Thomas White (Lexington, KY) April and Amy Cole (Wildwood, GA),Dequavious Cole(Florida) Teddy Cole (Chattanooga, TN) Freedom Cole ( Chattanooga, TN), Deja Cole (Chattanooga, Tn). James also leaves behind his longtime partner and best friend Brenda Moore (Chattanooga, TN) and his "bonus children" LaKesha Moore, Shamekia Moore, Bryant Moore, Montez Moore, Deshawn Williams, Patrick Famber, and Scottie Famber. Others left to cherish his memories include a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, neices /nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
