September 11, 1954 - August 5, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Lloyd Burdin, who left us on August 5, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Born on September 11, 1954, in Peoria, Illinois, James lived a life marked by love, dedication, and community spirit. He dedicated his life to the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality craftsmanship. James's hands were often seen shaping homes, building not just structures but strong foundations within his community.

James was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ginger Burdin, his mother Maxine Burdin, his father Earl Burdin, his daughter Sherry Thomas, his son Jimmy Burdin, and his sister-in-law Delores Kennedy.

He is survived by his devoted children-Brian Burdin (wife Sherri), Felicia Sherrill (husband Tucker), Joshua Burdin (wife Stacey), and Wilbur Burdin (wife Courtney)-and a circle of cherished grandchildren: Alex Burdin, Amber Thomas, Ashley Sherrill, Sky Thomas, Landon Ridgeway, Lukus Burdin, Liam Burdin, Elijah Burdin, Isabella Burdin, Alexis Lung, Dakota Burdin, Scott Thomas Jr., and James Thomas Burdin. James was also touched by the presence of many great-grandchildren and leaves behind his dear friend Dorris Ann Wright.

A proud and dedicated member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), James found joy and fellowship on the open road. He loved the camaraderie, the freedom, and the sense of purpose it gave him. Beyond riding motorcycles, James was known for his unwavering passion as a devoted Alabama football fan.

James will be remembered for being witty, adventurous, strong, and determined-a man who would quite literally give you the shirt off his back. His character and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory lives on through those he cherished most.

Following his wishes, James's remains will be cremated, with a Celebration of Life memorial gathering taking place on August 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Farmland Community Church. All who knew and loved James are welcome to join in honoring his memory.
