James "Verlin" Anderson, 73, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Verlin was born on November 6, 1951 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Fred and Katherine Stuman Anderson.
Verlin was a dedicated member of Kinser Church of God. He retired from the Bradley County Road Department after many years of service. In his spare time Verlin enjoyed listening to gospel music, raising cattle, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Anderson; and his sister, Fredanna Anderson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Lola Mantooth Anderson, son, Ralph (Kem) Mantooth; his sisters, Vickie Reno, and Janell (Dean) Lawson; and his brother, Lebron Anderson; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary with Pastor Aaron Robinson, and Reverend Guinn Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
