Jack Richard York, 78, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at his home in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Jack was born and raised in Greenwood, New York on December 10, 1947. He was a devoted father, grandfather, friend to many, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his six children: Tina, Jimmy, Chris, Brandon, Anna, and Anthony, along with 11 beloved grandchildren. He was Dad, Grandpa, Pe Paw, and Papa York to his family, but to so many others, he was lovingly known simply as "Uncle Jack."
Jack lived every day for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to share the love of God with anyone and everyone he met. He was known for praying with and for others, always willing to offer encouragement, kindness, and unwavering faith to anyone in need.
Above all else, Jack loved his family deeply. He knew he wasn't perfect, but that didn't stop him from trying every day to love others the best he could. He loved his country and was a proud lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills.
Jack will be remembered for his strong faith, caring heart, silly sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of so many people. His love for his family, his prayers, and his devotion to God will never be forgotten.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
