J. L. Howard, 86, of Cleveland, TN, passed away July 11, 2021, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Wesley Howard & Delia Mae Copeland Howard; one brother; two sisters; stepson, Mitchell Martin.
Survived by his wife of 39 years, Billie Howard; daughters, Tammy (Kenneth) Hadorn and Tracy (Michael) Arp; stepson, Rick (Linda) Martin; 2 sisters; grandchildren, Brandon Hadorn, Billy McClanahan, Brittany (Jason) York, Tiffany (Ammons) Rattler, Paige Luster; great-grandchildren, Winter McClanahan and Summer Rain Rattler; very special friend, Tim Smith; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Companion Funeral Home with the service to begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service.
