Ingrid Inethe Hirschi

Ingrid Inethe Hirschi, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, in Chattanooga, TN, at the age of 72. Born on November 5, 1952, in Atmore, AL, Ingrid dedicated her life to not just her family, but to her community, leaving a legacy of kindness and compassion.

Ingrid's passion for helping others guided her through various endeavors, including her involvement with her church and local homeless organizations. For the past six years, she devoted countless hours to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a charitable organization providing beds for children in the Chattanooga area. Her unwavering commitment to this cause, alongside her husband Bob, earned them the "Guardian of the Mission" award in March 2025, a testament to their relentless pursuit of ensuring that children have proper sleeping conditions. Ingrid's spirit of generosity and empathy touched the lives of many, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

Ingrid is survived by her loving husband Bob Hirschi, daughter Karen Hunter, daughter Maggie Hirschi, daughter Lori Jill Hubbard, and Son Jim Hirschi along with her grandchildren: Aaron, Ashley, Courtney, Carter, Avery, Lyra Brooke, Christian, and Christine. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Cadence, Alyssa, and Cambria-Rose, as well as her siblings Doug Dennan and Kim Bridges. Ingrid's family extends to her in-laws and a multitude of nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.

She will be remembered not only for her altruism but also for her warm smile, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Ingrid Hirschi's life was a beautiful celebration of love, service, and connection, and she will be missed profoundly by all who had the privilege to know her.
