Trippett, Howard Lee, age 90, a resident of Cleaveland, TN. passed away peacefully on 13 March 2026 at the family residence. Born on April 12,1935 He attended the St. Therese Catholic Church.
He retired from Peerless Confection Company. He was a member of Romeoville Fire Department 1968-1977. He served as the Mayor of the Village of Romeoville, Illinois from 1981-1985
Howard was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Frances Mae Smith Trippett.
Devoted father of Howard, Carl (Eva), Michael (Andrea), John (Kathy); Cherished grandfather of Samantha (Andrew) Godfrey, John (Anna Heath), Leeanna, Alyssa, Maelaina, Michael (Cherilyn); Proud great- grandfather of Shaun Hartung, Zayden Heath, Olivia, Jordyn, Patrick Godfrey, Kaylee Godfrey; Dear sister in law Verna Griggs and nephew Jeffrey Griggs; Brother Paul Trippett, Sister Doris Linn, and Elizabeth Carpenter; Other survivors include many loving nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces to numerous to mention.
Howard was preceded in death by his Parents Glenn Howard and Getrude Louise Vincent Trippett of Bellview WV.; Hudson W. Griggs, and Sarah A. Griggs Poole. Brothers: Walter Trippett and Carl Trippett.
The family will be having a private visitation and graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Therese Catholic Church Capital Funds Project at 900 Clingan Ridge Drive Cleveland, TN 37312.
