Homer Stanley Keirsey Jr.

Homer Stanley Keirsey Jr., known fondly as Stan, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on July 5, 1961, in Cleveland, Tennessee, he was the son of Homer and Ruby Keirsey.

Stan was a devoted husband to Karen and a loving father and grandfather.

Stan had a warm heart and a passion for helping others, especially veterans. He proudly served in the military for 27 years before retiring, leaving a legacy of service and commitment to his community.


He was a Tennessee Volunteers football fan through and through and found tremendous joy in spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dogs. His family will always remember him for his sense of humor and warmth.


Along with his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Peters.


Stan is survived by his wife, Karen, his stepsons Kevin Hair and Robby (Kaitlin) Hair, his son Jared (Cassurie) Ott, and his adored grandchildren Kolten, Kendall, Kaci, and Kaylee Hair. He is also survived by his siblings, Cindy (Rick) Miller, Sandra Lewis, and Ron Keirsey, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
