Henry E. (Hank) Wells IV, a resident of Ooltewah, Tennessee, courageously won his battle with brain cancer on January 31, 2026, and peacefully entered eternal rest.

Born on July 1, 1972, in Columbus, Georgia, Hank was preceded in death by his sister, Dolli Janine Wells Richardson.

Left to celebrate and cherish his memory is his beloved wife of over 27 years Michelle Burnette Wells. He also leaves his loving children Eli and Dana Wells, his mother and father Linda and Hank Wells, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Judy and Bill Burnette, his sister and brother-in-law Denna and Jerome Roberts, his beloved nieces and nephews, Jay (Molly) Roberts, Amber (Austin) Nunley, Jacob (Asia) Roberts, and Douglas Richardson. He will be especially missed by his new grandnieces, Georgia Kate Roberts and Ellison Jane Nunley.

Hank is a graduate of UT-Chattanooga and earned a master's degree at UT-Knoxville. He was a dedicated leader at Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Tennessee, where he worked for 21 years. Hank also had a huge heart for working with children. This calling led him to dedicate a large part of his life to coaching and assisting with youth sports.

Hank will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, his generous heart, and the countless lives he touched through his compassion. His legacy lives on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on February 12, 2026, at Bayside Baptist Church, followed at 3:00 PM, a memorial service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Global Faith Mission Agency, P.O. Box 1088, Hixson, TN 37343.
