Helen Lavida Bell

Helen Bell, 93, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. She was born on January 2, 1926 in Canton, OH and was an active member of the Athens Community for over 50 plus years. Helen was a very active member of her beloved church, Covenant Baptist, even teaching Sunday School class into her eighties. She was involved with Tri-County, active in politics and had a prison ministry. Helen has a passion for the Lord and for politics.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Raymond Bell and infant twin children.
She leaves behind her family including 7 children, countless grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also has a treasured brother and sisters along with cherished nieces and nephews. She is also survived by numerous friends and caretakers.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, TN with the Reverend Randy Boggess officiating.
