Helen Delores McCoy Dixon, age 86, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at her home on July 5, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Helen was born on November 10 and lived a life defined by faith, service, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her love knew no bounds and she will forever be remembered for how she loved unconditionally.

A graduate of Bradley Central High School, Helen was an Honor Roll student and member of the Beta Club. She continued her education at Cleveland State Community College, where she earned a place on the Dean's List. Throughout her career, Helen was an accomplished seamstress whose exceptional craftsmanship was appreciated by customers of both Kelman and Hardwick Clothes. Above all, she considered caring for her family to be her life's greatest calling, faithfully serving as her husband's devoted caregiver for many years.

Helen's faith was the foundation of her life. She was a dedicated member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught Vacation Bible School for many years. She also served her community as President of the Jaycetts, participated in TOPS, volunteered as a Suicide Prevention Hotline counselor, and remained proud of her lifelong connection tothe Beta Club.

She found joy in life's simple blessings. Helen loved birdwatching and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed attending plays and musicals whenever her children or grandchildren were involved. Helen and her husband loved music and dancing together, and she treasured traveling with her sisters and her adult children. At family gatherings, Helen was often behind the camera, preserving precious memories as the family's photographer. She loved to have company, enjoying long conversations, laughter, and visits. Deeply patriotic, Helen had a profound love for her country and lived with gratitude for its blessings.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Theodore McCoy and Dorothy Savannah McCoy; her husband, Doyle Alvin Dixon; her sister, Mildred Hale; her brother, William "Bill" McCoy; and her great-grandson, Walker McCoy Olson.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Karen Dixon Campbell and Jennifer Dixon Bates (Shawn); her son, Eric Nathan Dixon (Kristi); her brother, Joe McCoy (Ruth); her sister, Linda Mattox (Reani); and her brother, Dwight McCoy (Kathee).

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Brandon Elwood (Sydney), Ashton Olson (Mitch), Grayson Elwood (Jessica), Dustin Pettitt (Savannah), Jared Campbell (Markia), Madeline Campbell, Jalen Doss (Tyler), Lindy Leinweber (Jeffery), and Skyler Leinweber; along with her treasured great-grandchildren: Emily Wyatt, Zoe Kate Elwood, Abigail Olson, Daniel Olson, Russell Olson, Harrison Elwood, Violet Elwood, Fredrick Elwood, Arwen Campbell, Max Campbell, and Nathan Dixon.
