Heather Cook

Heather Michelle Cook, 53, passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2025.

She was born on April 11, 1972, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was a Christian.

Heather was an excellent cook and an accomplished cookie baker who loved sharing her creations with family and friends. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and found peace in watching her plants bloom and grow. Her gentle heart and kind spirit shone brightly through her love and care for her pets, who brought her great comfort and joy.

Heather especially loved attending Tuesday morning Bible study at Broad Street United Methodist Church. The fellowship she shared with the wonderful ladies there brought her deep joy, and she cherished each of them as her closest and most treasured friends. She looked forward to those mornings every week, where she always felt welcomed, loved, and encouraged. Heather also dedicated her time and compassion to helping others, volunteering for several years at the homeless shelter.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Arthur and Rosa Roach; maternal grandparents, William K. and Dorothy Ballew; and uncles, Larry Roach and Michael Ballew.

Heather is survived by her loving parents, William Arthur "Jack" Roach and Billie M. Roach; her beloved son and the light of her life, Benjamin William Cook; her brother, Matthew W. Roach; her special niece, Michaela Mae "Mia" Roach; her aunt and uncle, Patti and Chuck Johnson; her aunt, Donna Roach; and her cousins, Jacob Bradsher and Sarah Bradsher.

A reception will be held for all who wish to attend on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church in the Parlor.

Heather will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
