Harvey Alanzo Blair, 81, a life long resident of Cleveland tn passed away peacefully at his resident on June 25, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 19, 1944 in Cleveland, Tennessee.
He is a veteran of the United States Army. He also was a mechanic that everyone in the neighborhood called upon him to help with their vehicles. He was also a truck driver for many years. Harvey enjoyed sitting on the front porch of his residence people watching he was a big prankster loved making everyone laugh. The last few months Harvy was attending Southview Baptist Church. You could see Harvey singing and praising the Lord.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents Estel and Eliminey Blair, and sister Betty.
He leaves behind sons Daryl Blair, Steve (Susan) Blair. Daughter Michelle Chambers. Grandchildren Ryan Blair, Kierstyn Wolfe, Brandon Blair, Megan Blair, step grandchildren, Sumer Johnson and Austin Smith. Several great grandchildren. He leaves behind his sisters Kathy, Cindy, Jerrie and Jeanette. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jeff, Johnny, Joey, and Jimmy.
Harvy was attending Southview Baptist Church. You could see Harvey singing and praising the Lord.
The family would like extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice Care of Cleveland for taking care of Harvey at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Celevealnd Chapel with Pastor Rob Works and Pastor David Crump officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jeff Blair, Joey Blair, Jimmy Blair, Johnny Blair Daryl Blair, and Brandon Blair serving as pallbearers.
