Harold Addison “Hal” Martin, Jr., 71, of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 6, 2025. He was born in Columbus, GA, on May 3, 1954, to the Harold, Sr., and Elizabeth Dugan, Martin. After graduating from Columbus High School, he went on to Columbus Technical College where he received a degree in Drafting Technology. Hal worked as a draftsman for companies including Pasco and Kirby Building Systems and also worked as a machinist at Golden Foundry. In his later years, he enjoyed being outdoors, mountain biking, camping, hiking. Hal enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts. He was a thrill seeker and enjoyed rollercoasters.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Addison Martin, Sr., and Elizabeth Dugan Martin.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Alyson Martin; and brother, Charles Martin.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
