Harley E. Cherry, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a righteous man whose kindness and strength touched the lives of all who knew him.

As a preacher in the Baptist religion, Harley faithfully shared God's Word and ministered to those around him for many years. His steadfast faith, compassionate heart, and humble spirit were evident in both his ministry and his daily life. He sought to lead by example, offering encouragement, wisdom, and kindness to everyone he met.

Harley was preceded in death by his beloved parents and siblings. Though they welcomed him home, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved so deeply.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Cherry, who stood by his side with love and faith throughout years together. He also leaves behind his cherished children: Julie Kauble, Shelly Zettler, Shawn Kauble (Chrissie), Pamela Cherry, Harley Cherry Jr., Angie Hamilton (Kenny), Cyndi Davis (Matt), Timothy Holsopple and Tommy Holsopple.

Harley was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Heather Sims (Dustin), Kayla Reaves (Colten), Amber Nicholas (Jared), Zane Zettler (Hannah), Steven Hamilton (Melissa), Brandon Hamilton (TiaZalena), Autumn Hamilton, Cheyenne Hughes (Myia), Lee Conroy, Allen Bullard (Jennifer), Roxann Summers (William- BJ),Robert Kauble (Summer), Brittney Blevins (Freddy), Alex Kauble, Jason Nelson, Chelsea Nelson, (Little) Tony Nelson JR, Gage Holsopple (Rebecca), Jonathan Holsopple (Kelsey) and Brody Holsopple each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. His love for his family was unwavering, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Harley will be remembered as a man of integrity, compassion, and steadfast faith. He lived a life guided by righteousness, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, and put the needs of his family before his own. His quiet strength, generous heart, and enduring love will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Although Harley has departed this earthly life, the values he instilled, the love he shared, and the memories he created will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew him.

Celebration of Life will be held July 19, 2026 at Lakewood Memory Gardens Rossville, GA from 1-3 p.m.
