Glenn Wallace Swafford, 58, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on April 14,2026. Glenn's greatest joys were found in the quiet stillness of the woods and early morning mist over the water. Whether he was waiting patiently in a hunting blind or finding peace on a fishing trip, Glenn was most at home in the outdoors, He had a deep respect for nature and found a unique kind of solace in the simple, rugged beauty of the wild. Above all, Glenn was a man of deep-rooted devotion. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he found strength in fellowship and his walk with God.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Ray Swafford; his grandparents, RM Taft Swafford and Mary Ellen Brock Swafford, James Wallace Caughron and Minnie Tallent Crittenden; nephew, Chase Pope and special friend Jeff Jenkins.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Deneen Calfee Swafford; mother, Gena Merle Caughorn Swafford; daughters, Kassandra Swafford and Brittany Townsend (Matt); Sons, Shane Swafford and Travis Hembree (Hanna); grandkids, Brittlee Stinnett, Travis & Tyson Hembree; Sister, Tammy Pope; Mother in law, Kizzie Calfee (Louis); several brother & sister in laws, along with nieces, nephews, cousins & many special friends.
