Glenda Bales Meadows, 81, passed away on May 8, 2025. Glenda was born to the late Joseph Allison Bales and Stella Lily Ann Fox on July 17, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Glenda enjoyed cross stitching, reading, and cooking. She retired as an Accountant from Thunder Creek Harley Davidson.
In addition to her parents, Glenda is preceded in death by her husband, who passed on May 13, 2025, Joseph Walter Meadows Sr., son, Mark Wesley Alexander, and her brothers, Gary Sidney Bales, James Patrick Bales, and Dennis Lamar Bales.
Glenda is survived by her sons, Joseph Walter "Joey" (Mandy) Meadows Jr., and John Christopher (Kelli) Meadows, daughters, Deborah Lorraine Alexander (Michael) Bare, and Dawn Kimberly Meadows Johnson, siblings, Yvonne Lee Bales West, Joe Allison (Rachel) Bales, Shirley Ann (Barry) Patterson, Rodney Dale (Marilyn) Bales, twelve grandchildren, 6, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 am @ Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, Tennessee.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Mack Shelton Parlor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ALS Association of Chattanooga.
