It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gideon Maddux Mantooth, who left this world on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the age of 23. Born on September 16, 2002, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Gideon lived his life with an adventurous spirit and a profound love for the outdoors.

From a young age, Gideon delighted in exploring the beauty of nature, whether it was riding through the mountains, navigating down the river, or enjoying time on the lake. His passion for life extended to racing and riding dirt bikes, celebrating the thrill of adrenaline and the joy of being outdoors. As an arborist, he found fulfillment in climbing and caring for trees, a reflection of his deep appreciation for the natural world.

Gideon was a devoted son to his parents, Amanda and Jamie Beckler, and a cherished grandson to Tony and Marcella Arp. He embraced life with a kind heart, sharing countless joyful moments with his beloved "fur sons" and his "Chosen people," the friends he held dear and remained fiercely loyal to. Gideon's laughter, warmth, and genuine compassion brought smiles to those around him, and he will be fondly remembered for his love for Jesus and the light he spread in the lives of others.

Gideon was preceded in death by his great grandparents, J.T. and Virginia Humbard, James and Hazel Arp, and Lorene Mantooth Brown.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Amanda and Jamie Beckler; sisters, Olivia Beckler, and Emilyn Beckler; grandparents, Tony and Marcella Arp and Tracy and Teena Ownby; his girlfriend, Cassidy Smith; "his boys", Ryker, Lelan, and Kaven Smith; his beloved fur sons, Miller and Cove Mantooth; aunts and uncles, David and Amanda Arp, David and Stephanie Wilson, Jayson Wilson, Erica Beckler, and Ryan and Dee Dempsey; his very close cousin, Presly Turner; and his cousins, Ava and Dom Arp, Ethan and Hailey Wilson, Hurley Wilson, Brandon and Zac Wilson Fields, Shay, Nevaeh, Hunter, and Brody; along with a host of extended family, and close friends.
