Geraldine Mozelle Burgess

Geraldine M "Jerry" Burgess 91, a long time resident of Cleveland, TN. Passed away on Monday morning, March 28, 2022 at her home. She was born in Cherokee County, NC on January 25, 1931 a daughter of the late Pauline Passmore Lewis. She was a homemaker, took care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening, bluegrass festivals, and being surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband John William Burgess. Siblings, Austin Pack, Bobby Pack, and Jean Pack. she leaves behind to cherish her memory four children William David Burgess (Lynn) James Burgess (Jeneen), Pamela Shelnut (Clarence) and Vicki Ledford (Chris). Eight grandchildren 9 great grandchildren; brother, Clifton Pack;as well as several extended family members. A special thanks to her granddaughters, Jessica Ledford and Heather Filyaw who were her caretakers in her last few years.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Geraldine “Jerry” Pack Burgess will be held at 2p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Friday.
