Georgia Ann Townsend

Georgia Ann Townsend, age 59, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly in her home on June 30th, 2026. Georgia was born on September 26, 1966, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, to George Townsend and Anna Mae Ross. Georgia was of the Pentecostal faith and known for her love of singing and gospel music. Georgia is survived by her children: Stephanie Goodine (son‑in‑law Dennis Goodine Jr), Carlitta Moody (son‑in‑law Jamal Johnson), and Josh Alexander Messer Siblings: Johnny Townsend (Jennifer) and Becky Samples (David) Grandchildren: Pierce Ballinger, Dennis Goodine III, Alyssa Ballinger, Edie Goodine, Piper Goodine, Maddie Coleman, Devin Coleman, Jack Coleman. And special friends Laura and Trei Coleman Georgia is preceded in death by her husband Roger Hindman, son Jonathan Earl Messer, brother Travis Townsend, sister Tiffany Townsend, father George Townsend, and mother Anna Mae Ross. Memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4200 Pryor Rd NE, Cleveland, Tennessee, July 7th at 6:30pm.
