It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother. Georgia Faye Nunn Cigliano passed away peacefully April 10, 2026, in Cleveland, Tennessee with her family by her side. We were blessed to be raised by such a generous, graceful, intelligent, and beautiful woman. She taught us the true values of life, and we will do our best to honor those every day.

Georgia "Faye" was born on June 27, 1941, in a log cabin in the Appalachia Mountains to John Edward and Emma Allen Nunn. Mom was raised with eight brothers and sisters in Middlesboro, KY and later attended Lincoln Memorial University in 1960 on a music scholarship where she met James Martin Cigliano. During the early years of their marriage, they moved frequently before settling in Cleveland, Tennessee, which became their home for nearly 60 years as they raised their four children.

Georgia was a member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. She worked at TVA as a cartographer but her main mission in life was to make sure her family had everything they needed and were safe at all times.

In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her husband James Martin Cigliano, her siblings and in-laws Betty (Willard) Smith, Sheridan Nunn, Hazel (Billy) Powell, Benjamin Nunn, Eddie Nunn, Helen (Jack) Lewis, her father- and mother in law Renato and Ruth White Cigliano, sisters in laws JoAnn Cigliano Fields and Carmela Cigliano Pragler; her brothers-in-law Gary Schulz and Richard Simoneau. She was also preceded in death by her nephews, Scott Schulz, David Smith, and John David Lewis and her nieces Leslie Lewis and Jill Nunn.

Georgia is survived by her children Teri (Wayne) Mock of Canton, GA, Tracie Cigliano of Knoxville, TN, Lee (Beth) Cigliano of Cleveland, TN, and Amber (Jon) Johnson, of Oak Ridge, TN. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Sophia Mock, Nick, Brynna, and Caleb Cigliano, Matthew, Trevor, and Emma Johnson. Additional survivors include her sister Shelby Jean Pratt of Speedwell, Tennessee; her brother Ricky Nunn of Destin, FL; her sister-in-law Sue Nunn of Destin, Florida; her brother-in-law, Ed Pragler of LaFayette, New Jersey and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anyone who knew Mom quickly recognized her extraordinary creativity and vision. She was a force of nature and a passionate champion for the environment. Her deep love for nature and music wove its way through every stage of her life, and her unmatched creative talents left behind beautiful works-and even more beautiful memories-that will be cherished always.

To quote our cousin Brian Powell when memorializing his Granny, our Aunt Hazel, and Mom's sister "She carried with her both the beautiful simplicity of mountain people, and the sophistication of someone who knew the world." This quote embodies both our Aunt and Mother and all the Allen and Nunn women that came before and continue to carry on the legacy.

We have been blessed with lifelong friends. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have meant so much to us. Special thanks to the staff at Avail Assisted Living and Hearth Hospice and the caregivers that walked us through this difficult journey. Special thanks to Norma Davis and Faye Holmes who are always there to make sure our family has what we needed and showered our mother with cards and visits.
