George Herman Albinus, age 61, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home June 19, 2026. Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts, August 3, 1964. George was the son of the late George and Laura Albinus. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neliza Albinus.
George proudly served in the United States Army for 15 years. After completing his training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, he served as a combat medic, providing critical trauma care and witnessing firsthand the realities of war. During his military career, he was recognized for his service in Operation Noble Eagle I, Operation Noble Eagle II, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His dedication and excellence earned him several honors, including the Excellent Performance Medic Award and the Global War on Terrorism Award.
Following his military service, George continued his lifelong commitment to helping others and expanding his knowledge. He attended Cleveland State Community College, where he earned his EMT license and actively put his passion for serving others into practice. Throughout his life, he pursued higher education at several institutions and completed more than 120 credit hours in psychology studies at Liberty University.
George had a deep love for travel and adventure. He traveled extensively around the world and participated in numerous Christian mission trips to China, the Philippines, Moldova, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. Through these experiences, he shared his faith while serving communities in need.
In his later years, George became an active member of Waterville Baptist Church. He was a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and generously shared his experiences to encourage and support friends, family, and members of his community. George truly had a heart for healing and helping others.
When he was not serving others, George enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs, and hiking in the mountains of Tennessee. His curiosity, intelligence, and love of learning remained evident throughout his life.
Although George's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him, his family finds comfort in knowing that he has found peace in the presence of God and is no longer suffering.
George is survived by his daughter, Danielle Albinus, and son-in-law, Jeffrey Perez; his son, Adam Albinus; his sister, Jean Nielsen; and his cherished grandchild, Naomi-Love Perez.
