Geneva May Ladd, 81, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she worked for many years at Olan Mills and Whirlpool.

Geneva loved Jesus and was a member of Ooltewah Church of God. She enjoyed shopping, staying on the go, and "keeping the roads hot." Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandson, Ryder, and her beloved chihuahua, Lily.

She is survived by her son, Ty (Emily) Cooper; her daughter, Amy (Martin) Hickey; and her grandson, Ryder. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Ralph Ladd and Alva Ladd; and her brothers, Earl and Robert Ladd.

A graveside burial will be held at a later date at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her life by giving your time-sit with someone who is ill, visit a hospice patient, or simply be there for someone who needs comfort and companionship.

"Serve one another humbly in love." - Galatians 5:13
Well done, good and faithful servant.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Geneva, or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland, and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
