Geert Bos, Sr., 94, passed away March 28, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN. He was born June 22, 1929, to the late Henrik & Geertje Bos in Holland. Geert loved gardening and woodworking. He also served in the Dutch Army in Holland.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings and first wife, Gerrie V. Bos.
Geert is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Janet Bos; son, Geert (Dawn) Bos, Jr.; daughters, Annetta Smead, Rita Fricks, and adopted daughter, Annette Cockrell; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Bos, Noah Bos, Matthew (Sarah) Smead, Lauren (Chuck) Devitt, Nick (Jasmine) Smead, Bailey (Joey) Garcia, and Monica (Brian) Scott; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at McMinn Memorial Gardens, Athens, TN.
