Gary Lamonte Krause, affectionately known as "Shaker,"

Gary Lamonte Krause, affectionately known as "Shaker," who departed this life on July 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on August 5, 1944, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Gary lived a life marked by service and dedication.

Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Army, who also contributed significantly to his community through his 16 years with the Chattanooga Fire Department. Following this, he embarked on a successful career as a truck driver, showcasing his commitment to the transportation industry for 49 years.

Preceded in death by his father, Theodore Krause; mother, Christine Krause; brothers, Robert Krause, Roy Krause half-brother, Clifford Burger.

Survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Krause; daughter, Kristina Paige Abernathy; grandchildren, Lacey Stone (Nick) and Gracie Abernathy; many friends and family.
