Gary Anton Kostka, 78, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on July 21, 2026. He was born on March 15, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to George and Shirlie Clark Kostka.

Gary graduated from Muskego High School and worked as a machinist for Heil and later Philip Morris, where he retired. A man of many talents and interests, Gary's hobbies included woodworking and making crafts, restoring vintage cars, gardening, golfing, and fishing. He also enjoyed watching science-fiction, action and adventure movies and television shows.

Gary was a member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church. He generously gave his time as a volunteer at the Samaritan Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sherrye B. Kostka; his children, Paul (Mari), Cindy (Jeff Mash), and Kevin (Laura); his grandchildren, Meagan, Ava, and Claire; and his sisters, Carolyn (Diekfuss) and Marilyn. His family and friends will cherish the memories they shared with him and the many ways his interests, skills, and generosity enriched their lives.
