Garrie D. Buckner

Garrie D. Buckner, 82, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026. Garrie was born on March 25, 1944 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Howard Owen Buckner and Callie Mae Hightower Buckner. Garrie loved traveling, but mostly enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg and spend time in the smokey mountains. He had many hobbies, some of which include hunting, fishing, watching football, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

Along with his parents, Garrie was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman Buckner, Carl "Doe" Buckner, and Melvin Buckner.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ruth Ann Buckner; son, Jason (Jennifer) Buckner; grandchildren, Sean Buckner, Canaan Buckner, Owen Buckner, Alyssa Buckner, and Nathaniel Buckner; his brother, Donnie (Debbie) Buckner; and his brother in law, Randall (Kathy) Knight; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Dennis Cagle officiating.
