Fredrick Ray Harned
October 9, 1948 - Oct 30, 2026
Fredrick Ray Harned, 78, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Friday October 30,
2026. He was born on October 9, 1948 to the late Robert and Hester Harned. He
graduated from Bradley High School and attended Lee University. He served in the
National Guard and was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland,
Tennessee. Fred owned and operated Fred's Pest Control for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hester Harned.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alecia May Harned; his three children,
Britaney (Bradley) Watt, Bridgett Keenum, and Rob (Danielle) Harned; grandchildren,
Lani and Julie Watt, Christina (Blake) Ward, Audrey Keenum, Caitlynd (Josh) Hatchett,
Cobe and Colton Harned; great-grandchildren, Evie and Ellie Hatchett.

One gift the Lord gave dad was to help people less fortunate. He loved the Lord and had
a big heart for people. He would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. Fred
never met a stranger and could make friends wherever he went. He leaves behind a
legacy of laughter, faith, and unconditional love for his family. He loved nothing more
than stopping by a local eatery with friends to have a conversation. Even though there
was no telling what to expect with the stories he would share. He was a loving father and
taught us the importance of family. Growing up, there was hardly anything we didn't do
with Dad. He loved the outdoors, traveling, fishing, attending his children's sporting
events, working on cars, and taking weekend trips. Dad enjoyed life to the fullest.

Above all, Dad loved the Lord. Jesus was his savior, helper, and his provider. He turned
to Him in times of need and made sure our family stayed close to God. He always led us
in prayer before dinner and made sure we were in church together each Sunday.

We find comfort knowing Dad is now in heaven, probably telling the Lord about the big
fish he caught, all the places he traveled, and the cars he worked on. While our hearts are
broken, we are thankful for the memories, laughter, and love he gave us. He leaves
behind a family who will forever love him, miss him, and cherish the generous heart he
shared with everyone.

A graveside service will be held at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Fred or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
