Freddie Free Garland

Freddie Garland,73, of Cleveland went to be with his Lord and savior on the evening of February 19, 2026. 

Freddie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who leaves behind a legacy of love that his family will carry with them always. Freddie was happiest when surrounded by family, especially his eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who brought him so much joy and pride. Freddie was a truck driver for 40 years. He retired from Classic Express here in Cleveland TN.  

Freddie is proceeded in death by his wife Helen Garland of 55 years, mother Varnell Garland, father, Arvil Garland, brothers, Jerry Garland, Eddie Garland and Ricky Garland and sisters Ersie Massengale and Eva Carden and his beloved sons Billy Garland and David Garland. 

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Patterson, his son and daughter-in-love Shane and Susanne Garland and his eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren who will treasure his memory always. 

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 7th. A location and time will be announced on Facebook or you can reach out to the family.
