Obituary

Freda Kay Hopkins, 54, a resident of Decatur, TN passed away on Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at Starr Regional Hospital in Athens, TN. Freda was born on January 27th, 1960 in Huntsville, AL. Freda was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her mother Ellen Sadie Nix and one brother Anthony Nix.

Freda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Mark T. Hopkins, her father Jerry Nix, three daughters Freda Darlene Garrett, Georgia Ann Hodge and Danille Marie Hopkins, four sons Charles Franklin Garrett, Eddie Lee Garrett, Edward Timothy Densmore & Ryan Anthony Hopkins, three sisters Martha Joann Miles, Carolyn Jenelle Payton and Darlene Dankworth, three brothers Randy Nix, Ricky Nix and Troy Nix, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and another one on the way, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time in the funeral home chapel.
