Eva Joyce Nolen

Eva Joyce Nolen, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at her home. She was born in Chattanooga on August 31, 1942, to the late Evan and Rosa Lee Hughes Stallings. She loved her church family at Maple Grove Baptist Church. When she wasn’t spending time serving at her church, she enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Nolen; son, David Howard, Jr.; and 5 siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja; daughter-in-law, Donna; son, Steve; grandson, Lance Howard; step-son, Jimmy (Jamie) Nolen; step-daughter, Sharon (Rodney) Smith; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date.
