Eston Paul "Buddy" Scoggins Jr.

Born January 12th, 1945, born again July of 1993, passed August 17th, 2025.

It is with a mixture of joy and sadness that we announce the passing of Buddy Scoggins, who started his next journey on August 17th of 2025 at his home in Cleveland, TN.

Buddy was born on a cold Friday on January 12th, 1945, in Chattanooga, TN. He was a loving father to his two sons, Russ and Philip Scoggins, and a proud grandfather of five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Buddy was a unique and caring individual, known for his outgoing and positive personality and his dedication to his close friends and family. He spent his early career as the VP of EssTee Manufacturing Company before starting a number of business ventures which allowed him to travel for both business and pleasure. During his travels, he touched the lives of many others and shared his testimony any chance he could, both domestic and abroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eston Paul Scoggins Sr. and Sylvia McDaniel of Chattanooga, TN, and his brother, Mitchell Scoggins of Ooltewah, TN. He is survived by his sons, Russ Scoggins of Dickson, TN, and Philip Scoggins of Tullahoma, TN, five grandchildren, Tyler Sumner and husband Eli, Logan Scoggins, Lane Batson and husband Zach, Brianna Tyree and husband Robbie, Maggie Scoggins, and one great-grandchild, Raelynn Tyree.

A visitation will be held at Companion Funeral Home on Friday, August 22 from 4:00-7:00 pm with service to follow. Burial will be held at McDonald East View Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to UNICEF in Buddy's name, an organization he was committed to.
