Esther Ellen Brown

Esther Ellen Brown, 86, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2017. Ellen was born on July 5, 1930, in Orlando, Florida, the daughter of Alfred and Polly Corbett. Ellen is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Robert Brown, her youngest son Kenneth Zervos, daughter-in-law Fimia, grandson Ethan, and sister Louise Weimer (90). She was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty nine years, George Zervos, sons John and Mark Zervos, and second husband of four years, Norman Timberman.

Ellen grew up in Winter Garden, Florida, where she was crowned Miss Winter Garden at the age of seventeen. She graduated from Lakeview High School, Southern College, and Florida Hospital School of Nursing (1952). She worked as an R.N. at Walter Reed Hospital (Wash. D.C.), Washington Sanitarium Hospital (Takoma Park, MD), and Florida Hospital, and later in life was the Director of an Adult Day Care Center and a home health care nurse.

Her hobbies were traveling and photography, and some of Ellen's most treasured memories were sharing the love of Jesus with husband Bob during their ten Maranatha overseas mission trips, especially in Bobbili, where they stayed for six months, living with and helping blind children in India.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
