Ellen Conrad

Ellen Cox Conrad, age 71, passed away on December 26, 2023 at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland. A resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, Ellen was born on August 28, 1952 and grew up in Athens, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Eugene and Violet Cox. After graduating from Bryan College, Ellen lived in Knoxville, TN with her then husband, Bob Conrad, and was an educator. Ellen loved animals of all kinds and worked in a veterinarian office for a few years also. Ellen was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Cox and Leslie Cox, as well as a nephew, Doug Cox. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Joyce Cox and Beth Cox, niece Janelle Cox Beane (Jon), nephews Jeremy Cox (Lee Ann), Greg Cox, and Barry Cox (Cindy), as well as several great nieces and a great nephew. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 29th at 11am at the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Rev. John Beane officiating. She will be laid to rest at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
