Elizabeth Jane Krupa, 89, died peacefully on Tuesday August 19, 2025, here in Cleveland, TN. She was born February 19, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of John and Eva (Wanto) Kasper.
Elizabeth and Thomas Andrew Krupa (deceased in 2018) were married 58 years. She is survived by her brother Leonard Kasper. Elizabeth Gave us four daughters (and five sons-in-law): Mary Elizabeth Krupa (Gordon Levick), Anne Marie Oakes (James Oakes [deceased] and Thomas Teas), Elisa Anne Krupa (David Vivian) and Joanne Mary Roberson (Michael Scott Roberson). There are 7 grandchildren: Justin Oakes, Jessica Maples, Luke, Aliya and Adam Vivian, Elizabeth (Roberson) Golembieski and Alexandra Roberson, as well as 7 (soon to be 8) great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a dedicated military wife for 27 years, worked as a bookkeeper for many different companies, and lastly as the Treasurer at Notre Dame High School in New Hartford, NY. Elizabth and Tom found their retirement in Cleveland, TN in 1997, and spent the next 20 plus years celebrating their family, friend, church, and pets together in their beloved home.
Elizabeth will be especially missed for her many family and church gatherings; her renowned homemade pies and her eclectic China. Her recipes have been handed down over the years, as well as her many poems, reflecting on the stories of her life. In fact, her poignant and insightful writings were published and shared generously with all who knew and loved her. She was also an avid scrabble player and our trusty scorekeeper. And if all dogs go to heaven, may she be reunited with her beloved corgi, Toby, as well as her cats, Minnie, Khan, and Tao.
Elizabeth and Tom were dedicated members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. There will be a service at St. Luke's on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 2:30pm. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Memorial Garden, where Elizabeth's ashes will be reunited with her precious Tom's. Officiate: Fr. Joel Huffstetler.
