Edwin Lamar Martin, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1950.
Edwin was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 41 years and a dedicated family man who found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. Whether gathered around the table for a holiday meal, enjoying family traditions, or simply being together, he cherished every moment with his family and created memories that will be treasured for generations. One of his favorite family traditions was spending the Fourth of July at Stone Mountain, Georgia, where everyone would climb the mountain together to watch the fireworks light up the night sky.
An avid fisherman, Edwin loved spending time on the water with his family. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed traveling through the North Georgia mountains, especially during the beautiful spring blooms and colorful fall foliage. He and his wife made many cherished memories visiting state parks throughout North Georgia.
Edwin never met a stranger. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, he could strike up a conversation with anyone and was always ready with a joke that brought smiles to those around him. His friendly personality and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Above all, Edwin will be remembered for his love of family, his joyful spirit, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, Tennessee, starting at 1:00pm.
