Edward Scott Looney, 52, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2026. Born in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, on June 10, 1974, Scott graduated from Alleghany High School with a passion for welding and fabrication. He continued working in this field throughout his career and most recently served as an Estimator for Strickland Labor Solutions, where he was surrounded by friends and coworkers who were more like family.

Scott was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, driving his side-by-side, and spending time with his faithful companion, Smokey, his beloved Cane Corso.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Marion David Looney, of Crows, Virginia. He is survived by his mother, Anna Ruth Looney; his longtime partner, Jennifer Shelton; his children, Mya Looney and Daniel Looney (Katie); his granddaughter, Jemma Looney; his siblings, David Looney (Denise), Tammy Perkins (Chad), Greg Hoylman Sr. (Lynn), Pam Morgan; and his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Strickland Labor Solutions in Etowah, Tennessee. Cremation will follow.
