Ed Heisler, 101, passed away peacefully on Sabbath, August 22, 2025 at 11:58pm. He was born on November 6, 1923 in Farmington, Nova Scotia.

Ed dedicated his life to service through the Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving with his beloved wife, Ethel, as a missionary in Jamaica, Nicaragua, Penang, Singapore, and Sierra Leone. His ministry touched countless lives across the globe, and together they faithfully shared their love for God and commitment to education, health, and spiritual growth.

He is survived by his brothers Robert Coupland and Ralph Coupland; children Elizabeth Adels, Barbara Heisler, Beverly Heisler, and Bruce (Connie) Heisler; grandchildren Keasha Adels, Jeana (Andrew) EszlerTayler Adels, Kendra (Stephen) Staff, Kiersten (Matt) McClure, and Hannah (Caleb) Crawford; and great-grandchildren Dawn Sivak, Justin Sivak, and Jedidiah Eszler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel (Blabey) Heisler, parents John Heisler and Lillian (Horsman) Heisler; and siblings Ruth Heisler, Eileen (Sterling) Robertson, Marion (Jack) Craig, Esther Bradley, Earl (Bea) Coupland, Ken Coupland, and Jack Coupland.

Plans for a Celebration of Life will be finalized at a later date. Donations can be made in Ed's memory to Adventist Frontier Missions or Christian Record Services for the Blind, two ministries that were close to his heart.
