Duane Jefferson Albritton was born on March 12, 1938 in Bowling Green, Florida and passed away in Cleveland, Tennessee on May 24, 2026 at the age of 88. A dedicated painter in the construction industry, Duane spent over 30 years employed at TVA, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality. He was a member of The Church of God Jerusalem Acres, where he fostered a sense of community and enthusiastically shared his faith with others.
Duane was preceded in death by his father Bailey Albritton, mother Irene Albritton, wife of 44 years Jean Albritton, sister Delores Cochran, eldest son David Stewart, grandson Brandon Stewart, granddaughter Brittany Dillard and her husband Dustin Dillard.
Duane is survived by his sons Jeff Stewart (Gail) and Carlin Stewart (Tina) and daughter Jeannie Marie Epperson (Matt), grandchildren including Tina Walker (Bryan), Laci Garringer (John), Bryan Stewart (Erica), Shelley Swanson (Brent), Tiffany Drury (Marcus), Stephanie Cooke (Brian), C.J. Stewart, Dillon Kramer and granddaughter-in-law Christina Stewart. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and remembered fondly by his special nephew Rodney Plumley.
Duane's life was characterized not only by his professional accomplishments but also by his involvement in family and community activities. He enjoyed sharing memorable moments and creating lasting memories with his loved ones. His legacy will continue through the lives that he touched and the values he instilled in his family.
Visitation (12-2 pm) and funeral service (2 pm) will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026 at The Church of God Jerusalem Acres with Pastor David Kramer and Pastor John Garringer officiating. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Delano Cemetery, Delano, TN 37325 with Bryan Stewart, C.J. Stewart, Dillon Kramer, Bryan Walker, Brian Cooke and Brent Swanson serving as pallbearers.
