Donna Deborra Stout

Donna Deborra Stout of Hixson, TN passed away on June 27, 2026. She was a resident of the area most of her adult life. She went by her middle name, Deborra. Deborra attended school in Hamilton County and UTC. She worked for the Hamilton County School system where she retired as a Lead Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired Department. Deborra enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. Deborra enjoyed being around family and friends, eating out and playing Rook monthly. She enjoyed her neighborhood and the activities.

Deborra was preceded in death by her son Heath Stout, her husband, George Stout, and her parents, Don and Alma Poe. She actively participated in their care. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and had many friends they enjoyed entertaining and visiting.

Survivors include her sisters Sandra Bassett, of Jacksonville, FL, and Dawn Bailey (Rich), of Chattanooga, TN; nieces, Stacey Morgan (Sean) and Alexandra Bailey (Jahnu), and great-nephew Miles Bright, Navy Lt. Deborra also leaves behind a close friend, Stan Osborne.

The family thanks Gabriel and staff of Gentle Hands for their loving and friendly care. Thanks also for the compassionate care of Adoration Hospice.

The family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life.
