It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald "Boyd" Sizemore, who entered the presence of the Lord on Thursday July 2nd at the age of 59.
Born and raised in Midfield, Alabama, Donald "Boyd" Sizemore was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of his life. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, and friend.
He loved traveling the country, searching for antique stores, visiting national parks, and panning for gold. History was one of his greatest passions, and if you went on a trip with him, there was a good chance you would end up at a historical site, reading every plaque whether you planned to or not. He loved sharing stories, making people laugh, and never took life too seriously. His fun-loving personality made every trip an adventure and every memory one to treasure.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Michelle Sizemore; his children, Tyler Sizemore (Candace), Kyle Sizemore (Jesse), Jesse "Nick" Sizemore; Sisters, Lisa Brister (Scott), Sharon Daniel (David); his favorite sister-in-law, Kristy Sloan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3:00pm til 5:00pm on July 5th, 2026 at Revive Church located at 3935 Cromwell Road Chattanooga, TN 37421.
The family will also receive friends from 9:00 am til 11:00am on July 10th, 2026 at Liberty Church located at 2732 Old Rocky Ridge Road Birmingham, AL 35216. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00am.
While we will miss him dearly, we find peace knowing he is with our Lord and Savior. His faith, laughter, and love for adventure will always be remembered.
