Dilan Jacob Thomas, 35, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at home in his sleep on Monday, October 19, 2026. His passing leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and memories that will forever hold a place in their hearts.
Above all, Dilan was a father. His children, Dean Jacob Thomas and Lexi Thomas, were the most important part of his life. He loved spending time with them, riding four-wheelers together, teaching them new things, and sharing the things he enjoyed most. Whether they were riding outdoors, swimming, fishing, or simply spending time together, Dilan treasured the opportunity to make memories with his children. He was a father who taught, helped, laughed, and played a large role in their lives leaving behind lifelong memories of the great father that he was. Dilan was known for his kind heart, loving nature, and sense of humor. He was the first to offer help if anyone was in need of it.
His passing leaves an emptiness in the lives of those who knew and loved him. No words can express the loss of a son, brother, and father, or the pain of knowing that new moments with Dilan can no longer be shared. Dilan's life was more than the loss to his family, it was also a loss in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, the things he fixed, the helping hands he offered, and the memories he created with those closest to him.
To Dean and Lexi, a father's love does not end when his life does, your father's legacy will live on. It will live on in your hearts, in the lessons he taught, in the laughter he left behind, and in the many ways he made life better for the people he loved. He will forever live on inside of you.
Dilan leaves behind his biological father, Ken Thomas; loved and raised by his parents, Karen Thomas, and stepfather, Phillip Brackett Sr; his brothers, David Thomas, Devon Thomas, and Phillip Brackett Jr.; his sister, Rebecca Brackett; his sisters-in-law, April Thomas and Talania Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Most precious of all, he leaves behind his beloved children, Dean Jacob Thomas and Lexi Thomas, who will forever carry their father's love with them. Dilan Jacob Thomas will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held on October 31st at 12 pm at Rock Creek Baptist Church 1628 Reynolds Bridge Road Benton Tn 37307.
