Dennis York

Dennis L. York, 75, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday October 4, 2025. He was a member of Chestuee United Methodist Church. He was a farmer his entire life. He enjoyed working in the hayfields with his tractors. He spent his entire life in the same community where he was born and raised. Dennis and his wife loved to adventure different roads while sight seeing.

He was preceded in death by his son Stephen Eric York; his parents James L. York and Virginia L. York.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Barbara Blackwell York of Cleveland; one sister Dana (Steve) Burgess of Cleveland; nieces Stephanie (Greg) Everett and Cindy (Andy) Blevins both of Cleveland; great nephew Caden (Angelina) Everett of Cleveland; great nieces Makayla Brooks of Chattanooga, and Carly Everett of Cleveland.

The family will have a graveside service on Thursday October 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Chestuee United Methodist Church Cemetery with Roger York, Ricky Hutson, Terry Buckner II, Randy Brown, Mike Goodman, and Junior Brock serving as Pallbearers. Floyd Boggess will be officiating. All family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service.
