Dale Dixson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Delinda Dale Dixson, who left this world peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 8, 1949, in Cleveland, TN, Dale was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Dale's life was marked by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and her work. She spent 41 wonderful years as an Administrative Assistant in the Bradley County Circuit Court Clerk's office, where her diligence and commitment were truly commendable. Her colleagues became lifelong friends, and she cherished every moment spent there.

Married for 57 years to her husband, Leon Dixson, Dale was a pillar of strength in her family. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Leslie Dianne Hicks and Lindsey Dennille Hawn, who brought joy to her life along with her cherished grandkids, Isaac, Matilda, and Hudson. Though they mourn the loss of their beloved Marmie, they find comfort in the countless memories of love, laughter, and family gatherings, especially during her favorite time of the year-Christmas. She is also survived by her brother David Wilsie May Jr. (Linda) and a host of extended family members and friends.

She attended North Cleveland Baptist Church for 22 years, where her kindness and spirit touched many lives. Her passions included searching for antiques, traveling the world with family and lifelong friends, and of course, her unforgettable "Tina Turner" performances that left everyone smiling. Dale was truly one of a kind.

Dale is preceded in death by her parents, D.W. (Wiltsie) May and Lucille Huff May, her sister Danah Dixon, and grandson blakely Hicks. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dale's family will receive friends from 11am until 2pm on Tuesday December 23rd at North Cleveland Baptist Church located at 2815 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37312. A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm following the visitation with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating.

She will be laid to rest following the service at Fort Hill Cemetery. Mark Miller, Isaac Hicks, David Wilsie May III , Clinton Martin, Grant Charles, and Tyler Kelley will serve as pallbearers. Gayla Miller, Renee Calfee and Dana Pickens will serve as honorary pallbearers
